information secretary Comrade Wimal Weerawansa said that the
international Community led by the USA should help crush the
terrorism unleashed by Tiger terrorists against Sri Lanka. He said this to
the Ambassador of the USA
Mr. Robert O. Blake
when Comrade Weerawansa met him at the JVP head office on the request from
a American Ambassador.
Sri Lankan economy, fraud and corruption
and security were among the matters discussed at this meeting.
The Ambassador told that the government
attacking Kilinochchi will result in a catastrophe. The
ambussadar said that defeating the tigers organization
militarily was a difficult task and a political solution
would work
best for the National Question in Sri Lanka. Comrade Wimal
Weerawansa contradicting the Ambassador's assertion said that
the security forces possess the capability to defeat tiger
terrorism militarily. Comrade Weerawansa told the American
Ambassador that security forces liberating the entire Eastern
province from Tiger clutches is solid proof of their capability
