Comrade Sujatha Alahakone said she together with other
Parliamentarian Comrades participated in the press conference
only because she wanted to know the real aspect of the issue.
and she and most of the other Parliamentarians participated in
the press conference only with that intention said JVP
Parliamentarian for Matale District Sujatha Alahakone.
Members who participated at the press conference held on the 8th
did so individually and not organizationally said Comrade
Alahakone addressing a media meeting in Colombo today. She said
she realized who the real conspirators were and after discussing
the issue with the leadership of the party she was able to
comprehend the issue said Comrade Alahakone. She said certain
media has published certain falsifications regarding her to
distance her from the party.
Comrade Ranaweera Pathirana speaking at the same media meeting
said there are several other Parliamentarians who participated
in the press conference on the 8th willing to discuss with the
leadership the issue. He said the majority of the participants
now accept that they made a mistake. He said the mistake they
made was instead of going to the party head office, going to the
office of the Patriotic National Front where a person who had
been expelled from the party had given them instructions to hold
the press conference
