Socialist Women’s Union of
the JVP held a massive demonstration opposite Fort Railway
Station today to demand that the government brings down the
prices of essential commodities.
More than thousand comrades
from Socialist Women’s Union of the JVP participated in the
campaign. Placards displayed urged the government to punish all
those who pilfered public money, stop burdening the people for
ministers to have luxurious lives and bring down prices of
essential commodities including gas, milk food and petroleum
