|
A colossal volunteer labour exercise is underway from the 1st to
the 29th of February with the mediation of Tissamaharama
Divisional Council. The volunteer labour movement has been
launched as intensive as well as long term projects embracing 44
Grama Sevaka Divisions of Tissamarama Divisional Council.
Several rapid programmes have been already completed and masses
are reaping their benefits. These projects under the ‘Revival of
Tissa’ programme are directly linked to the people in the area
and are implemented with the participation of more than 1000
members of ‘Red Star’ volunteer brigade and support of the
village community.
