Comrade Anura Dissanayake, Member of the Political Bureau held several discussions with leftist and human rights organizations in Italy during his visit to Italy recently. The discussions were held to strengthen ties with the JVP and the left movement in Italy.
The violation of democratic rights including media freedom in Sri Lanka was specially discussed and Comrade Anura Dissanayake explained the JVP stand.
‘Rete dei Comunisti’ and ‘Progetto Diritti’, an organization of attorneys regarding human rights were two organizations that held discussions with Comrade Dissanayake.
