A special set of proposals by the JVP to defeat lunatic religious extremism and communalism, to affirm National and Public Security was released to the public at the Foundation Institute in Colombo today (4th).
The set of proposals includes proposals to strengthen National and public security in the country that have been put in jeopardy with the Islamist extremist lunatic terrorist attack carried out on Easter Sunday and to take measures to build National Unity.
The set of proposals has been presented under several themes including general reforms, public security, legal reforms, religious institutions reforms and administration, education, the Sri Lankan identity, mass media and task of religious dignitaries.
The gathering was headed by the Leader of the JVP Comrade Anura Dissanayaka. Members of the Political Bureau Comrade Vijitha Herath, Comrade Lal Kantha, former Additional Director of Central Bank Attorney at Law Nirmala Siriwardene, the Head of Christian Studies at University of Kelaniya Vijith Rohana Fernando, Chairman of Ramya Lanka S.M.S. Fariz Sally and representatives of various organizations attached to the JVP participated.
