{"id":3922,"date":"2017-12-16T17:59:15","date_gmt":"2017-12-16T17:59:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.jvpsrilanka.com\/english\/?p=3922"},"modified":"2017-12-16T18:00:48","modified_gmt":"2017-12-16T18:00:48","slug":"jvp-lg-candidates-convention-in-colombo-tomorrow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.jvpsrilanka.com\/english\/jvp-lg-candidates-convention-in-colombo-tomorrow\/","title":{"rendered":"JVP LG candidates\u2019 Convention in Colombo tomorrow"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The election campaign of the JVP will commence tomorrow (17th) with a National Convention participated by all the candidates who contest the LG election from the JVP states the Leader of the JVP Comrade Anura Dissanayaka.<br \/>\nThe election campaign of the JVP will be launched with the Convention held under the theme \u201cPower to develop the country and defeat corruption\u201d at Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium at 9.00 a.m. All candidates of the JVP are expected to take an oath and obey a code of ethics introduced at the Convention.<br \/>\nAmong the 12 principles included in the code of ethics are serving the people and the country voluntarily without expecting any benefits or privileges, contribute all salaries received as public servants for public service, to act transparently in all activities connected with development work and making available all information to the public.<br \/>\nThe first public rally of the election campaign will be held at Anuradhapura.
