JVP has sent a message of greetings to the 23rd Congress of the Communist Party of India (Marxist)being held from today (6th) to the 10th of this month. It states:
\nDear Comrades,
\nWith revolutionary spirit, we send greetings to the XXIII Congress of the Communist Party of India (Marxist). In the beginning, we would like to extend our great respect to the victorious Indian Farmers’ struggle, where your Kisan organizations also played a leading role.
\nDear Comrades,
\nYou are holding your Congress at a time when the working class and the oppressed peoples of the world are confronted with the worst global economic crisis and the most dangerous pandemic that has engulfed the world. It is a time when imperialism and its neoliberal stooges of the ruling classes in most capitalist countries carry out severe attacks against the working masses and their rights.<\/p>\n
It is also a time when the capitalist government of India is getting increasingly involved in the internal affairs of our country and many countries in the region. The hegemonic interference of India in other nations’ affairs in economic, political and social spheres undermining other nations’ sovereignty and the policy of interference has become the norms of the successive Indian regimes and their various organizations. It has created negative mindsets among the people in the region as well. It’s a need of the time that Left forces of India should show their complete deviation from the policy of the Indian government and Big Indian Capital towards other nations in the region and show their solidarity and genuine respect for the sovereign rights of the neighbouring countries.<\/p>\n
It is also a time the geopolitical involvement of the capitalist government in India has surrendered the Indian people’s sovereignty to US Imperialism and has become the trusted ally in servicing the needs of the US imperialist agenda in the Indian Ocean. Joining with QUAD -Asian NATO- and signing many military agreements with the USA are clear signs. It would not only be a threat to countries in the region but will restrict the Indian Ocean from being a nuclear-free zone.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the economic crisis of imperialism also escalates contradictions among the imperialist countries, which could put the whole world at risk of war. Amidst this foreshadowing, despite differences and temporary setbacks, the world’s progressive people rally around the international left movement. There is no solution to this crisis other than Socialism, and that is the only way forward for human society. Socialism is the only way forward. Only a genuine party of the people could achieve this.
\nThe Communist Party of India (Marxist) follows a Marxist-Leninist line and has Democratic centralism as its organizational principle, and Revolutionary internationalism is a cardinal aspect of its policy. In its target of bringing about a ‘revolutionary-democratic transformation of society and state’ with the ultimate goal of Socialism, which will lead to communism, the support and direction of an international Socialist\/Communist movement are vital.<\/p>\n
It is heartening to note that the masses increasingly turn towards left politics. The victories of left politicians in several Latin-American countries have indicated this, which strengthens our struggle to bring Socialism. Also, now that various powers have dragged our countries into escalating geopolitical issues, we have to make our people aware of the looming dangers and struggle to keep our lands from being a playground for foreign forces.<\/p>\n
As members of a political party that experiences similar social issues, we look forward to closer relations between our two parties and pay close attention to the rich exchange of experiences from the Communist Party of India (Marxist).<\/p>\n
Long live the friendship between the people of Sri Lanka and India!<\/p>\n
Long live the cooperation between the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna!<\/p>\n
Long live Proletarian Internationalism!<\/p>\n
