\nToday (28th), when Milad un Nabi Day, or the birthday of the founder of Islam, Prophet Muhammad, is being celebrated, we of the National People’s Power wish to bring greetings to Muslim devotees in Sri Lanka.
\nHe was the one who created a strong state for Arabia, which had been scattered all over Arabia, was weak and subject to the submission of powerful tribes.
\nThat was at a time when no one traditionally thought it was possible. But Prophet Muhammad, who thought differently, was the initiator of that change as well as a religious leader who took it into action.
\nWe wish that Milad un Nabi would strengthen Sri Lankan Muslims to join hands as Sri Lankan people in the name of brotherhood and by understanding its politics, change the traditional course of the country.
