Ambassadors of six countries met the leader of National People’s Power and JVP, Comrade Anura Kumara Dissanayake, at the head office of the JVP this (6) afternoon.
\nAmbassador of the State of Palestine Dr Zuhair M.H. Mr. Dar Zaid, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey, Mrs R. Demet Sekercioglu, High Commissioner of the Republic of Bangladesh Tareq M.D. Mr Ariful Islam, Ms Dewi Gustina Tobing, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr Heru Prayitno, Head of Chancery of that Embassy, Mr Badli Hisham Bin Adam, Malaysian High Commissioner and Ms Fathimath Ghina, Acting Ambassador of the Republic of Maldives, represented those countries at this meeting.
\nNational Executive Members of NPP Comrades Bimal Ratnayaka, Dr Nalinda Jayatissa, Dr Rizvie Salih and Muditha Nanayakkara also represented the NPP.
\nThe NPP representatives briefed the foreign diplomats about the principles and functioning of the National People’s Power and discussed the political and economic situation in the country at length. Also, at the meeting, they showed the foreign diplomats about the readiness of the National People’s Power to deal with all countries based on mutual respect and cooperation.<\/p>\n
