A meeting was held yesterday (24th) at the JVP Head Office between the Vice Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee Sun Haiyan, a delegation of the International Department of the Communist Party of China and the General Secretary of the JVP, Comrade Tilvin Silva.
\nRepresentatives of the Chinese government, including the Chinese Ambassador and Comrade Bimal Rathnayake, a member of the Political Bureau of the JVP and Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation, attended the meeting.
\nThe meeting focused on the long-lasting political friendship between the Communist Party of China and the JVP and the new government\u2019s forthcoming activities.
\nMeanwhile, the Chinese delegation also met with the Secretary of the National People\u2019s Power, Specialist Dr. Nihal Abeysinghe, and a group of National People\u2019s Power members elected to the government.<\/p>\n
