A country’s army and police are there to protect the people – people should not accept illegal laws

July 8, 2022 Nihal Weerasuriya

Making a special statement regarding the imposition of curfew by the Inspector General of Police, Comrade Anura Dissanayake, the leader of the party, stated this today (8th) at 09.15 pm.
He further emphasized that the people have a fair right to oust the rulers who do not answer the people’s questions. It was emphasized in this special statement that the army and the police of a country exist for the protection of the people and illegal laws imposed for the protection of the rulers should not be accepted by the people.
