A large crowd had gathered for the May Day rally of the JVP in Anuradhapura yesterday (1st) afternoon.
The rally held under the theme, “Let’s chase away the oppressive government! Let’s build a people’s government!” was addressed by the General Secretary Comrade Tilvin Silva, National Organizer Comrade Bimal Ratnayake, National Executive of the All Ceylon Farmers’ Federation Comrade Namal Karunaratne and several other comrades.
The event was attended by a large number of professionals including artists, lawyers, doctors, engineers and professors.
