Comrade Bimal Ratnayake, a Member of the Political Bureau of the JVP and the National Organizer of the party and Comrade Ranga, an organizer of the JVP committee in Greece, met Comrade Giorgos Marinos, a Member of the Political Bureau of the Greek Communist Party in Athens, Greece and its international secretary Comrade Eliseos Vagenas, and member of European Parliament Lefteris Nikolaou on December 19th.
In this discussion, the current political and economic crisis in Sri Lanka and the possible future developments of the political and economic crisis in the country were discussed.
Also, the economic crisis in Greece, the political crisis that arose based on that economic crisis, and how various political and social forces worked was widely discussed. Also, the experiences of Greece and other European countries that had similar crises were discussed.
Issues regarding the impact of the current war in Ukraine and the problems arising from the establishment of NATO bases throughout Europe were also discussed.
Also, the two parties discussed the current situation of the global left movement.
In addition to this, the programme of the Greek Communist Party on the problems related to foreign migrant workers living in Greece was discussed. Also, Comrade Ranga presented issues confronted by the Sri Lankan working people in Greece.
