A meeting was held yesterday (24th) at the JVP Head Office between the Vice Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee Sun Haiyan, a delegation of the International Department of the Communist Party of China and the General Secretary of the JVP, Comrade Tilvin Silva.
Representatives of the Chinese government, including the Chinese Ambassador and Comrade Bimal Rathnayake, a member of the Political Bureau of the JVP and Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation, attended the meeting.
The meeting focused on the long-lasting political friendship between the Communist Party of China and the JVP and the new government’s forthcoming activities.
Meanwhile, the Chinese delegation also met with the Secretary of the National People’s Power, Specialist Dr. Nihal Abeysinghe, and a group of National People’s Power members elected to the government.
