Comrade Bimal Rathnayaka to attend ‘Solidarity with Cuba’ conference

The National Organizer of the JVP Parliamentarian Comrade Bimal Rathnayaka has left to Philippines to participate in the 8th Asia Pacific Regional Conference for Solidarity with Cuba (APRCSC).
The conference will be held in Manila today (8th) and tomorrow (9th). The first ever APRCSC was held in India on 22-23 September 1995, and the principal objective of all the regional conferences for solidarity have been to strongly oppose the economic embargo imposed on Cuba by the USA.
Aside from Cuba, Philippines and Sri Lanka the following countries are sending delegates: Australia, Bangladesh, Cambodia, People’s Republic of China, Egypt, India, Japan, Republic of Korea, North Korea, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Malaysia, Mongolia, New Zealand, Papa New Guinea, Timor Leste, United States of America and Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
