The representatives of Galle Face strugglers met and discussed with NPP presidential candidate Comrade Anura Dissanayake today (17th). Comrade Anura Dissanayake emphasized that if two people not involved in a future power project become president and prime minister, the NPP will refrain from running for the presidency.
At the discussions with the strugglers, it was stated that there was no agreement in Parliament regarding forming an all-party government despite discussing with all parties in Parliament. The NPP’s opinion was that if an all-party government can be formed, it is their position to establish a council with the participation of the strugglers to supervise or mediate its affairs.
