Dear Comrades,
On behalf of the People’s Liberation Front – Sri Lanka, we send greetings to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. You are holding your Congress at a time when the working class and the oppressed peoples of the world are confronted with the worst global economic crisis that has engulfed the world. It is a time when imperialism and its neo liberal stooges of the ruling classes in most capitalist countries carry out severe attacks against the working masses and their rights. The Communist Party of China, throughout its glorious history of more than 101 years, dedicated to the cause of the Chinese people, safeguarding national independence, and despite facing severe challenges from reactionary and imperialist forces, continues its forward march to safeguard the ‘One China’ policy and building Socialism with Chinese characteristics. It is our belief that the Communist Party of China, which has a history of playing a significant role in the struggle against imperialism and injustice, would support progressive people and their organizations that are fighting under the guidance of Mamist-Leninist theory and practice against exploitation, oppression, injustice, inequity and suppression. The JVP strongly supports the One-China policy and condemns the attempts of the United States to violate this policy as blatant interference in the internal affairs of the People’s Republic of China, and we vehemently condemn the AUKUS Pact, QUAD military alliance, which is definitely a ploy to carry out imperialist domination of the Asia-Pacific region. It’s a fact that the only remedy to weaken imperialist interventions is to build a strong left and anti-imperialist movement all around the world. We think in this congress, CPC will discuss deeply on this imperative issue. JVP believes Socialism means, above all, solidarity, true friendship and assisting each other’s development. Socialism does not hinder the development of any nation like colonial powers and present-day imperialism. Chinese people have been having friendly relations with our country since ancient times. We also remember how Chinese people came to assist Sri Lanka in various difficult moments of our country in the post-independence period. At the same time, we request CPC take more appropriate deeds to elevate the people-to-people friendship between two peoples through concrete, people-friendly policies and actions. JVP believes China, which has a history of playing a significant role in the struggle against imperialism and injustices in the world, would also support the progressive people of Sri Lanka in years to come. We are definite that the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, under the guidance of Marxist-Leninist theory and practice, would support the struggle against capitalism and imperialism support the struggle to emancipate humankind from all forms of exploitation of humans by humans. We again express our revolutionary greetings for the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China with the hope of strengthening the ties between our parties in the spirit of authentic proletarian internationalism and wish you success in the struggle for Socialism. Also, we believe the Communist Party of China would play a more interactive and pivotal role in strengthening more coordinated work among the Left parties to lead the world towards Socialism and make this world a pleasant place for humankind. Wish all the success to the 20th Congress of CPC.
