JVP launches struggle against unfair taxes

A leaflet campaign under the theme ‘Struggle against unfair taxes people are burdened with’ was held by the JVP at Colombo Fort Railway Station yesterday (30th) to protest against the move by the government to burden the masses with the economic crisis it is confronted with by increasing VAT to 15% and imposing unbearable taxes.

The General Secretary Comrade Tilvin Silva, Members of its Political Bureau Comrade Lal Kantha and Comrade Sunil Handunneththi, JVP Provincial Councilors Comrade Mahinda Jayasinghe, Comrade Sarath Pathirana, Comrade Sunil Watagala and several other comrades were present.
